September Spotlight
As we head into September, our office is seeing a variety of seasonal and back-to-school health concerns. Here are some of the illnesses, preventive health topics, and wellness opportunities we want our patients to be aware of this month.
Cyclospora Outbreak in Michigan
Michigan is experiencing an increase in Cyclospora infections, which can cause prolonged gastrointestinal symptoms.
Symptoms may include persistent watery diarrhea, abdominal cramping, bloating, nausea, and fatigue.
Symptoms can last for weeks and may require specific stool testing and prescription treatment.
Experiencing persistent or recurrent diarrhea? Contact our office to discuss whether testing may be appropriate.

School is back in session! Make sure your child starts the new school year healthy, prepared, and ready to succeed.
Schedule your child’s annual wellness visits and sports physical before the season gets underway.

Now is a great time to review your overall health, nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, and immune-supporting habits before illness season gets underway.
Ask our healthcare team about preventive options, appropriate supplements, and personalized wellness strategies based on your individual health needs.
We can also review vaccinations and other evidence-based ways to help reduce your risk of respiratory illness.

Medicare & GLP-1 Weight Management Coverage
Beginning July 1, 2026, a new CMS program may provide eligible Medicare Part D patients with access to certain GLP-1 medications for weight management.
Eligible patients may have access to covered medications for $50 per month through the program.
Eligibility and medication coverage depend on Medicare plan type and specific clinical criteria. Not every Medicare patient will qualify.
